Our Story
Built on Trust. Powered by Expertise.
Steve Roberts Generators Company Ltd was founded in 2016 on a simple belief: that every business in Kenya deserves a generator services partner they can truly rely on — one that arrives when called, diagnoses faults accurately, uses only genuine parts, and stands behind their work.
Based in Kirinyaga Road, Nairobi CBD, we have grown from a small repair workshop into one of Kenya's most recognised generator services companies. Today, our team of certified engineers handles everything from emergency breakdown repairs and routine servicing to complex multi-generator synchronization systems and full engine overhauls.
We specialise in Cummins and Perkins generator systems — the two most widely used diesel generator brands across Kenya — and stock genuine Fleetguard filters, AVRs, controllers, and automatic changeover switches for fast, same-day supply to our clients.
Over the years, we have served manufacturing plants, hospitals, schools, hotels, data centres, NGOs, construction sites, and residential developments across Nairobi, Mombasa, and every major county in Kenya. Each job has strengthened our technical knowledge and deepened our commitment to the standard of service we deliver.
Work With Us Today
Our Purpose
Mission & Vision
The two pillars that define why Steve Roberts Generators exists and where we are going.
Our Mission
Keeping Kenya Powered — Reliably, Every Day.
Our mission is to deliver fast, dependable, and technically excellent generator services to businesses, institutions, and communities across Kenya. We are committed to minimising power downtime for our clients through genuine spare parts, certified workmanship, and a response team that is always ready — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
We believe that reliable power is not a luxury — it is a necessity. Hospitals depend on it to save lives. Factories depend on it to keep workers employed. Schools depend on it to educate the next generation. Hotels and lodges depend on it to deliver exceptional guest experiences. We take that responsibility seriously in everything we do.
Every generator we repair, every part we supply, and every maintenance contract we fulfil is driven by our mission to be the most reliable power solutions partner our clients have ever worked with.
Our Vision
To Be Kenya's Most Trusted Generator Company.
Our vision is to be the most trusted and respected generator services company in Kenya — the first name that comes to mind whenever a generator needs to be repaired, serviced, installed, or overhauled, and whenever genuine spare parts need to be sourced quickly and reliably.
We are building a business where every client — from a Nairobi Industrial Area factory to a Maasai Mara lodge, from a Mombasa hotel to an NGO in North Eastern Kenya — can call us and know with absolute confidence that they will receive honest advice, skilled engineers, and quality results they can count on for years to come.
We see a Kenya where no business loses revenue, no hospital loses a patient, and no community loses essential services because of a generator failure that could have been prevented or fixed faster. That is the Kenya we are working to build — one generator at a time.
What We Stand For
Our Core Values
These five values are not words on a wall — they are the standards we hold ourselves to on every job, every day.
Integrity
We use only genuine OEM parts and give honest, accurate assessments. No shortcuts, no counterfeit components, no inflated quotations. What we quote is what you pay.
Excellence
Every repair, every service, every installation is completed to the highest technical standard by trained, experienced engineers who take pride in their craft.
Reliability
We show up when we say we will, deliver what we promise, and back our work with a service warranty. Our clients trust us because we have earned that trust consistently.
Reach
From Nairobi CBD to the Kenyan coast, from the Rift Valley to North Eastern Kenya — our engineers travel wherever our clients need us. Distance is not a barrier.
Innovation
We continuously invest in technical training, modern diagnostic equipment, and industry knowledge to stay ahead of evolving generator technology and serve our clients better.
The Steve Roberts Generators Company Promise
Every client who trusts us with their generator receives not just a technical service — they receive a commitment. A commitment to honesty, speed, quality, and results. This is the promise our entire team makes to you.
Genuine Parts — Always
We will never install counterfeit or substandard parts in your generator. Every component we use is genuine OEM or certified OEM-equivalent, sourced from authorised channels.
Fast Response — 24/7
Generator emergencies don't wait for business hours. Our emergency response line is open around the clock, and our technicians are ready to deploy to your site day or night.
Transparent Pricing
You will always receive a clear, itemised written quotation before we begin any work. No hidden charges, no surprises on the final invoice. What we quote is what you pay.
Warranted Workmanship
Every repair and installation we carry out is backed by a workmanship warranty. If something we fix fails due to our work, we return and fix it — at no additional cost to you.
Full Service Documentation
After every service, repair, or installation we issue a detailed service report — so you always have a clear record of what was done, what parts were used, and when the next service is due.
